25 kwietnia, organizacje działające na rzecz Tybetu na całym świecie i w Polsce będą podjemować protesty upamiętniające 18 urodziny Genduna Czokji Nimy, więzionego Panczenlamy Tybetu, który prawie 12 lat temu został rozpoznany przez Dalajlamę. Chiny uprowadziły Genduna Czokji Nimę i jego rodzinę z domu 17 maja 1995 roku, kiedy chłopiec miał zaledwie 6 lat. Władze chińskie odmówiły wszystkim zagranicznym rządom i Organizacji Narodów Zjednoczonych, które chciały odwiedzić Panczenlamę, utrzymując, że jego rodzice nie chcieli, aby go niepokojono. Zgodnie z chińskim prawem, jutro Panczenlama osiągnie pełnoletniość.
